ആലുവ സെറ്റിൽമെന്റ് ഹയർസെക്കന്ററി സ്കൂളിൽ 2025-2026 അദ്ധ്യയന വർഷത്തെ പ്രവേശനോത്സവം 2025 ജൂൺ 2-ാം തീയതി തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 11.30 ന് ഡോ. മോളി ജോസഫ് (റിട്ട.പ്രൊഫസർ,സെന്റ് സേവ്യേഴ്സ് കോളജ്, ആലുവ)ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. സ്കൂളിൽ പുതിയതായി സ്ഥാപിച്ച നിരീക്ഷണ ക്യാമറകളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ശ്രീ ജസ്റ്റിൻ പി. പി ( SHO, ആലുവ വെസ്റ്റ് പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ) നിർവ്വഹിക്കുകയും , സ്കൂളിൽ WebAR മീഡിയ & പ്രമോഷൻ്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ പുതിയതായി തുടങ്ങിയ വെബ്സൈറ്റും, 1985 - 95 സുഹൃദം - സൗഹൃദം ഗ്രൂപ്പിൻ്റ സഹായത്തോടെയുള്ള സ്കൂളിൻ്റെ പ്രമോഷൻ വീഡിയോ എന്നിവ ചെയർമാൻ ശ്രീ ജോർജ് തോമസ് പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. പുതിയ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ശ്രീമതി വസന്തകുമാരി പി. കെ, വൈസ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ശ്രീ. ജോസഫ് സി. ജെ എന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് പൂച്ചെണ്ടുകൾ നൽകി വരവേറ്റു.സെറ്റിൽമെന്റ് ചെയർമാൻ ശ്രീ. ജോർജ് തോമസ്, മാനേജർ ശ്രീ. ഏലിയാസ് വി. വി, വാർഡ് മെമ്പർ ശ്രീമതി സൂസൻ വർഗീസ്, പി. ടി. എ. പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്രീ.സഹീർ വി. എ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ആശംസകൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു.കുട്ടികളുടെ വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികൾ ചടങ്ങിനു മാറ്റു കൂട്ടി.

About

The Alwaye Settlement School has a rich history spanning over ninety-eight years, dedicated to fostering both the academic and personal growth of its students. A Legacy of Philanthropy and Growth Founded in 1927 by the Alwaye Settlement Society, a group of twenty-one philanthropic individuals, the institution was formally incorporated on September 24, 1935, under the Travancore Companies Regulations. Shortly after its founding, a primary school was established, alongside a Boys’ Home that provided free boarding for needy students. The school's commitment to community welfare extended to a land colonization scheme for the depressed classes. The Maharaja of Cochin generously provided 199.44 acres of forest land at Kodassery near Chalakudy for this initiative. Evolution of the School The primary school initially operated as a Malayalam medium school and later expanded to become a middle school. Demonstrating its adaptability and foresight, the institution transitioned into a recognized unaided school with the introduction of an English Medium division in 1984. Further solidifying its educational offerings, a Higher Secondary School was established in 2004.

A Glimpse into the Rich History of Alwaye Settlement School

- 1927: Founded by twenty-one visionary philanthropists, the Alwaye Settlement Society established a primary school with free boarding and lodging facilities for the underprivileged, reflecting its commitment to education and social welfare. - 1935: The Alwaye Settlement Society was officially incorporated under the Travancore Companies Regulations on September 24th, solidifying its foundation. - 1939: The primary school transitioned into a Malayalam school and was taken over by the Government of Kerala, expanding its reach and impact. - 1954: The school marked a significant milestone with the introduction of High School Classes, starting with Class VIII. Mr. C. I. Mathunny (later Reverend) took charge as Headmaster, guiding the school's growth. - 1956: The upgraded High School became fully operational.  - 1959: The P. S. S. Scheme came to an end, and the Kerala Education Rules (KER) were implemented on 1st July.  - 1984: The school introduced an English Medium Division.  - 2004: The Higher Secondary School started.

Hence, we live out our mission of doing the very best to contribute to society by educating a happy and fulfilled generation.

One Of the Pioneers of this School

Rev. L. W. Hooper, who was born on 27th August 1902, served on the U. C. College staff during 1924-26 in the Department of History, left for England in 1926. He returned to Alwaye in 1930. To promote the cause of The Alwaye Settlement, he resigned from his job in U. C. College after one year and stayed in Settlement. The beginning of a Girls’ Home was his dream. A land Colonization / settlement scheme for the depressed classes was devised by him.

School Chapel

Our School Chapel was built in 1934 in memory of the Rev. Lester William Hooper. There will be Morning Worship at 9:10 a.m. every Monday in this Chapel. Attendance to this service is not mandatory, but all who wish to attend are welcomed.

Green Campus

The school campus is spread over 65 acres of land. The building and classrooms are spacious, well - planned with good architectural features. The sprawling campus is lush green and welcoming.

Smart Classroom

Information technology is seamlessly integrated into the way we learn. ICT enabled classroom (smart room) in the school is equipped with LCD projector and other multimedia equipment.
